Postdoctoral Fellowship Overview
The Postdoctoral Fellowship is offered for a period of seven months and may be extended for one year based on performance. Fellows will work under the mentorship of Principal Investigators and are encouraged to apply for extramural research grants.
- Postdoctoral Fellowship (Mizuho Fellowship)
- Upper age limit: 35 years at the time of application submission, with possible age relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ physically challenged & women candidates.
- Exceptional candidates may receive age relaxation at the discretion of the competent authority.
- For ACTREC graduates, the fellowship should be awarded within six months of receiving their degree.
- Fellowship duration: 7 months, with a possible 1-year extension.
- Consolidated Salary: Rs. 1,00,000 per month. The candidate’s work progress will be evaluated, and extensions depend on satisfactory progress.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- PhD degree from a government-recognised University or research institution.
- At least one research article publication in a well-reputed international journal.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas: molecular biology, Cell Biology, structural biology, computational biology, proteomics, and Genomics.
- Ability to conduct independent research under PI mentorship, develop ideas, design experiments, and work collaboratively.
