Eligibility Criteria:
Eligible Students
Applicants must be enrolled in an Indian institute and belong to one of the following categories:
- 2nd year of a 3-year undergraduate program
- 2nd or 3rd year of a 4-year undergraduate program
- 1st year of a 2-year Master’s program
- 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of a 5-year integrated program
Additional Requirements:
- Applicants must have a confirmed offer to work under a Principal Investigator/Professor at an Indian institute different from their own.
- Students already receiving financial support from the host PI or other agencies such as KVPY, INSA, JNCASR, IITs, or IISERs are not eligible for additional funding under this program.
Internship Duration:
- Duration: 2 to 3 months
- Minimum Period:
- 56 days for 2 months
- 84 days for 3 months
- Internship Window: May to July 2025 (as mutually decided by the student and PI)
Stipend & Financial Support for NGSF Internship:
- On-site Internship: ₹6,000 per month
- Remote Internship: ₹3,000 per month
- Travel Reimbursement (On-site): Up to the cost of a III AC train ticket (round trip)
- Maximum Funding Duration: Up to 3 months
