Key Responsibilities
- Support patient enrolment as per study protocol and obtain informed consent
- Collect blood, throat swab, urine, and stool samples following biosafety guidelines
- Ensure proper labelling, documentation, and accurate patient/sample record maintenance
- Complete laboratory investigation forms and perform electronic data entry
- Maintain cold chain during specimen transport and ensure proper packaging
- Maintain dispatch and receipt logs for all samples
- Perform serum separation, aliquoting, smear preparation, staining, and microscopy
- Conduct bacterial culture, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, ELISA, and PCR
- Follow diagnostic algorithms, quality systems, and laboratory SOPs
- Maintain laboratory registers and track reagents and consumables
- Follow biomedical waste management procedures and ensure patient confidentiality
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / BSc / MSc in Microbiology, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in diagnostic laboratory settings (public or private).
Skills Required
- Familiarity with routine microbiology and serology workflows; experience in sample handling and transport processes.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry, documentation, and reporting (MS Office and/or electronic data tools).
- Proficiency in Marathi and English (reading, writing, and speaking), Hindi.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and adherence to timelines.
- Willingness to travel locally as required for sample collection/transport and field coordination.
