Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for complex microbiological testing and maintaining an audit-ready laboratory environment.
Analytical Testing & Supervision
- Bacterial Endotoxin Test (BET): Perform and supervise BET/LAL testing to ensure pyrogen-free products.
- Sterility & Bio-burden: Take samples for and carry out sterility testing. Test Raw Materials (RM), Packing Materials (PM), and pre-sterile products for bio-burden levels.
- Water Analysis: Conduct physicochemical, biochemical, and chemical tests on water samples to ensure utility compliance.
- Stability Testing: Perform microbiological analysis of stability samples as per the daily work plan and SOPs.
Compliance & Cleanroom Management
- cGMP Implementation: Ensure the maintenance of current Good Manufacturing Practice standards throughout the lab and facility.
- Personnel Qualification: Qualify personnel for entry into cleanroom areas, ensuring aseptic protocols are strictly followed.
- Growth Promotion Testing (GPT): Qualify prepared media via GPT to ensure it supports the growth of relevant microorganisms.
Documentation & Maintenance
- Contemporary Recording: Document all activities contemporaneously (as they happen) to ensure data integrity.
- Stock Reconciliation: Maintain and update records for LAL reagents, media stocks, and house isolates/cultures.
- QMS Support: Support the timely closure of Out of Specification (OOS) results and other Quality Management System (QMS) elements.
