Position Details:
- Position: Project Associate-I
- No of Posts: 01
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. Biotechnology / Bioscience / Biochemistry or B. Tech in Biotechnology with experience in recombinant expression of proteins, Pilot scale Protein Purification, Biomaterial research.
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 25,000 plus HRA
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Tenure
One Year. The tenure mentioned may be extendable. It is co-terminus with the project or as long as the requirement exists.
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates – 05 years
- OBC candidates – 03 years
Application Process
- Candidates who qualify the Written Test may appear for the Interview with duly filled in application form, self-attested photocopies of requisite certificates/documents, a photo ID proof, and 02 passport size photographs.
- Applicants with qualification in NET / GATE or equivalent need not appear for written test and can directly attend the personal interview.
Mode of Selection
Candidates fulfilling the above-mentioned qualifications and age may appear for Written Test / Interview along with application form and supporting documents. The application form is attached as annexure to the notification.

- Stage I – Written Test: 16.03.2026, 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., at Triple Helix Auditorium, CLRI
- Stage II – Personal Interview: 18.03.2026 (Exact time will be intimated) at CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute, Sardar Patel Road, Adyar, Chennai – 600020
