About the Institute
CSIR–Innovation Complex, Mumbai (C-ICM) operates under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The institute focuses on world-class translational research and incubation capabilities. It supports advanced research in ADME-PK, Toxicology, Bioanalysis, and Life Sciences innovation. C-ICM aims to strengthen industry-academia collaboration in scientific development. These research jobs are purely project-based and contractual. The project duration is three years and positions are based in Mumbai.
Research Jobs: Available Positions
1. Project Associate-II (Bioanalytical ) – 01 Position
- Essential Qualification: (i)Master’s/Integrated Master’s Degree from recognized university or equivalent in Life Sciences.
And 2 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(ii) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized university or equivalent in Life Sciences. And 2 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(iii)Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology in the areas as mentioned in (i) above from a recognized University - Desirable Qualification: Hands-on Experience in ADME-PK/Tox area in operation and troubleshooting of modern spectroscopic and chromatographic instruments like (LC-MS/MS, GCMS/MS, HPLC, ICPMS, NMR etc.). Candidate is expected to have knowledge of the requirements of regulatory guidelines relevant to ADME-PK/Tox.
- Stipend: (a) Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIRUGC/ICAR/ICMR NET including lectureship/ assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified
National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent an/or their agencies/institutions.
(b) Rs. 28,000/+HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above - Age Limit: 35 Years
2. Project Associate-II (Pharmacokinetics and Metabolism) – 01 Position
- Essential Qualification: (i)Master’s/Integrated Master’s Degree from recognized university or equivalent in Life Sciences.
And 2 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(ii) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized university or equivalent in Life Sciences. And 2 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(iii)Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology in the areas as mentioned in (i) above from a recognized University - Desirable Qualification: Hands-on Experience in conducting ADME-PK studies in-vitro and using animal models for profiling of small molecules/biosimilar/ biologics. Experience in business
development/marketing in life sciences areas is a plus. Candidate is expected to have knowledge of the requirements of regulatory guidelines relevant to ADME-PK/Tox.
- Stipend: (a) Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIRUGC/ICAR/ICMR NET including lectureship/ assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified

3. Project Associate-II (Cell/Tissue Culture) – 01 Position
- Essential Qualification: (i)Master’s/Integrated Master’s Degree from recognized university or equivalent in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences/ Microbiology. And 2 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(ii) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized university or equivalent in Biotechnology/
Biochemistry/ Life Sciences/ Microbiology. And 2 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(iii)Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology in the areas as mentioned in (i) above from a recognized University - Desirable Qualification: Hands-on Experience in animal cell/organoid culture such as Caco-2/Stem Cells/iPSC based studies. Experience in business development/marketing in life sciences areas is a plus. Candidate is expected to have knowledge of the requirements of regulatory guidelines relevant to ADME-PK/Tox.
- Stipend: (a) Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIRUGC/ICAR/ICMR NET including lectureship/ assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified

4. Project Associate-II (In vitro toxicology) – 01 Position
- Essential Qualification: (i)Master’s/Integrated Master’s Degree from recognized university or equivalent in Biotechnology/
Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Microbiology. And 2 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(ii) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized university or equivalent in Biotechnology/
Biochemistry/ Life Sciences/ Microbiology. And 2 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(iii)Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology in the areas as mentioned in (i) above from a recognized University - Desirable Qualification: Hand-on Experience in techniques such as AMES test, Micronucleus assay, chromosomal aberration etc. and experimentation conducting in-vitro toxicological studies. Experience in business development/marketing in life sciences areas is a plus. Candidate is expected to have knowledge of the requirements of regulatory guidelines relevant to ADMEPK/Tox.
- Stipend: (a) Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIRUGC/ICAR/ICMR NET including lectureship/ assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified

5. Senior Project Associate-I (ADME-PK) – 01 Position

And 3 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(ii) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized university or equivalent in Life Sciences. And 3 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(iii)Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology in the areas as mentioned in (i) above from a recognized University And 2 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR

- Essential Qualification: (i)Master’s/Integrated Master’s Degree from recognized university or equivalent in Life Sciences.
And 3 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(ii) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized university or equivalent in Life Sciences. And 3 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(iii)Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology in the areas as mentioned in (i) above from a recognized University And 2 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services

(iv)Doctoral degree in Science from a recognized University or equivalent in the areas mentioned in (i) above from recognized university And 2 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services - Desirable Qualification: Hands-on experience in operation, troubleshooting and interpretations of data/observations of modern spectroscopic and chromatographic instruments like (LCMS/MS, GCMS/MS, HPLC, ICPMS, NMR etc.) preferably in the area of ADME-PK/Tox. 7. Senior Project Associate-II (Information Technology) – 01 Position
- Essential Qualification: (i)Master’s/Integrated Master’s Degree from recognized university or equivalent in Life Sciences.
And 3 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(ii) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized university or equivalent in Life Sciences. And 3 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services
OR
(iii)Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology in the areas as mentioned in (i) above from a recognized University And 2 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services

(iv)Doctoral degree in Science from a recognized University or equivalent in the areas mentioned in (i) above from recognized university And 2 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services - Desirable Qualification: Experience in Creation, Management, Maintenance and upkeep of Databases, LAN/Network/Wi-Fi/Website and desktop support and/or relevant IT areas. Experience in maintenance of Hardware/ Software/ Firewall administration, knowledge to understand scientific documentation, maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments. Working knowledge of database design, web enabled applications and portal designing.
- Stipend: Rs. 42,000.00 plus HRA

General Conditions for these Research Jobs
- The date of determining qualification and age shall be the last date of submission of application form.
- Age relaxation as per Government of India/ funding agency norms: Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes, Divyangjan (PWD) and female applicants whereas 3 years in case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
- The engagement of selected candidates shall be temporary and co-terminus with the tenure of the project.
- The engagement may be terminated at any time with a notice of one month from either side or one month stipend in lieu thereof.
- The project staff may be required to travel as per need.
