The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is a premier autonomous institute dedicated to advanced immunology and biomedical research in India. Educational Qualifications

PhD in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Systems Biology Biophysics or any closely related interdisciplinary area involving computation in Life sciences or Master’s Degree in Engineering and Technology from a recognized university or equivalent.
II) Three years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.

Desirable

  • Experience in protein structure modelling, molecular simulations, or structural prediction tools (AlphaFold, Rosetta, docking workflows) will be an added advantage.
  • Exposure to machine learning / deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) for biomedical or omics applications.
  • Experience in high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and pipelines (e.g., sequence alignment, structural bioinformatics).
  • Familiarity with data management practices, version control (Git), and collaborative development workflows.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary and collaborative projects, including coordination with national and international partners.
  • Experience in preparing technical reports, documentation, and project deliverables.

Emoluments

  • Project Scientist-I @ Rs. 56,000/- p.m. plus 27% HRA
  • Project Scientist-II @Rs. 67,000/- p.m. plus 27% HRA
