Key Responsibilities
- Develop sterile injectable formulations including liquid and lyophilized products
- Conduct pre-formulation and excipient compatibility studies
- Perform forced degradation and stability studies
- Design formulation characterization strategies
- Support clinical, pilot-scale, and commercial manufacturing transfer
- Collaborate with CMC, analytical, QA, and manufacturing teams
- Prepare regulatory documents (IND, BLA, IMPD submissions)
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, ICH, FDA, and EMEA guidelines
- Mentor junior scientists and guide technical decision-making
Education
PhD or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, or related field.
Required Skills
- Expertise in biologics formulation development
- Knowledge of DoE, QbD, and risk-based development approaches
- Understanding of fusion proteins and bispecific biologics
- Hands-on experience with HPLC, DSC, particle size analysis, and biophysical characterization
- Troubleshooting and investigation capability
- Strong regulatory documentation and communication skills
- Cross-functional leadership ability
