Position & Project Details
- Position: Young Professional-II (YP-II)
- Number of Posts: One (01).
- Project Title: All India Network Project on Emerging Pests (Studies on Fusarium head blight of wheat).
- Emoluments: ₹42,000 per month (Consolidated).
- Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years (Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD per ICAR norms).
- Tenure: Purely contractual and co-terminus with the project.
Eligibility & Technical Qualifications
This plant pathology job requires a blend of traditional diagnostic skills and modern molecular biology techniques.
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Plant Pathology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Plant Protection, or Botany with a specialization in Plant Pathology.
- Desirable Experience: Prior research experience in plant pathology and molecular techniques.
- Core Responsibilities: Investigating the occurrence and variation of Fusarium head blight pathogens and evaluating host resistance mechanisms.
