Job Responsibility:
For this Research Associate Job, the candidate will have the responsibility of planning the experimental layout, conducting field trials and laboratory bioassays with respect to the baseline data generation of botanical leads against major pests and diseases of tea plantations, along with report preparation, data compilation, statistical analysis, and writing of research papers.
Research Associate-II
- No. of Post: One
- Project Duration: 2 years
- Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 61,000/- + 8% HRA per month
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years (Age relaxation will be provided as per the DST guidelines).
Qualification:
- PhD in Life Science/ Entomology/ Zoology/ Plant Pathology/ Microbiology from a recognized university or institution.
- At least one research paper in SCI indexed journal.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Two years of postdoctoral research experience in Tea Entomology / Plant Pathology or related disciplines.
- Advanced knowledge on the application of AI, Machine Learning, Robotics in plant protection; experience working in molecular biology; handling advanced statistical software and sophisticated laboratory instruments; and writing high-quality independent research papers.
