Job Overview:
This Principal Scientist Job within the Discovery Biology department focuses on leading protein purification activities, protocol optimization, quality analysis, and team mentorship. Key Responsibilities:
- Independently perform protein purification and quality checks using SDS-PAGE and SE-HPLC
- Optimize protein purification protocols using AKTA systems and batch methods
- Develop purification strategies involving affinity, ion exchange, and size exclusion chromatography
- Maintain detailed experimental records, reports, and scientific presentations
- Manage multiple discovery projects under strict timelines
- Support, troubleshoot, and mentor junior team members
- Ensure lab cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance
- Drive EHSS culture, safety metrics, and quality adherence as a Syngene leader
Educational Requirements:
- PhD in Life Science, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology
- Hands-on industry experience in protein purification and discovery biology

- Strong theoretical and practical expertise in protein purification techniques
- Hands-on experience with AKTA Pure, Prime Plus, Explorer, and Start systems
