The Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS), an autonomous society under the Govt. of NCT of Delhi, is conducting a walk-in interview for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF). This ILBS recruitment is for a Ministry of AYUSH-funded project focused on the hepatoprotective efficacy of Ayurvedic formulations against non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases (NAFLD). Position Details

  • Job Vacancy: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
  • Project Title: “Evaluation of hepatoprotective efficacy and underlying molecular mechanism of Ayurvedic formulations in experimental animal models of non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases: A translational approach”.
  • Funding Agency: Ministry of AYUSH.
  • Duration: 1 year or until project completion.
  • Remuneration: ₹35,000 + 24% HRA (Total ₹43,400 per month).
  • Age Limit: 35 years.

Job Description & Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be involved in high-level pre-clinical and molecular investigations:

  • Pre-clinical Studies: Handling small laboratory animals (mice and rats) for in vivo toxicity and efficacy analysis.
  • Cell Culture: Working with in vitro cell cultures, including primary hepatic cells and organoids.
  • Molecular Investigations: Handling biological samples for detailed molecular analysis.
  • Pharmacology Analysis: Conducting pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics analysis of natural, herbal, or Ayurvedic compounds.
  • Reporting: Data compilation, statistical analysis, and drafting project reports and scientific manuscripts.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

  • Mandatory: NET/GATE or any national eligibility test qualification.
  • Post Graduate (M.Sc) in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology, plus 2 years of research experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • Preferred experience in Physiology and Pharmacology in vivo studies.
