Position Details
- Job Vacancy: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- Project Title: “Evaluation of hepatoprotective efficacy and underlying molecular mechanism of Ayurvedic formulations in experimental animal models of non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases: A translational approach”.
- Funding Agency: Ministry of AYUSH.
- Duration: 1 year or until project completion.
- Remuneration: ₹35,000 + 24% HRA (Total ₹43,400 per month).
- Age Limit: 35 years.
Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be involved in high-level pre-clinical and molecular investigations:
- Pre-clinical Studies: Handling small laboratory animals (mice and rats) for in vivo toxicity and efficacy analysis.
- Cell Culture: Working with in vitro cell cultures, including primary hepatic cells and organoids.
- Molecular Investigations: Handling biological samples for detailed molecular analysis.
- Pharmacology Analysis: Conducting pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics analysis of natural, herbal, or Ayurvedic compounds.
- Reporting: Data compilation, statistical analysis, and drafting project reports and scientific manuscripts.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications:
- Mandatory: NET/GATE or any national eligibility test qualification.
- Post Graduate (M.Sc) in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology, plus 2 years of research experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Preferred experience in Physiology and Pharmacology in vivo studies.
