Core Responsibilities and Technical Scope
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end development of cell lines, from initial genetic engineering to large-scale expression testing.
- Molecular Cloning: Execute cloning activities using various modern technologies to construct expression vectors for therapeutic proteins.
- Cell Line Development (CLD): Develop stable mammalian cell lines for biosimilars, including monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), fusion proteins, bispecifics, and Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs).
- Transfection & Scaling: Perform large-scale transient transfections to evaluate protein expression levels before moving to stable cell line selection.
- Data & Project Management: Plan experimental structures, execute complex protocols, and conduct rigorous data analysis to ensure high titers and product quality.
- Operational Support: Manage laboratory inventories and oversee vendor relationships to ensure uninterrupted research workflows.
Eligibility and Experience Profile
This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in Microbiology Job sectors or molecular genetics who have transitioned into biopharma R&D.
- Educational Background: B.Tech, M.Sc, or M.Tech in Biotechnology, Genetics, or Microbiology.
- Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience specifically in mammalian cell line development within the biopharma or biotech industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of cell culture techniques, genetic transformation, and the regulatory requirements for biosimilar production.
