Position Details
- Position Title: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
- Department: Department of Pediatrics (Newborn Unit)

- Project Title: ICMR, New Delhi funded project entitled “Comparison of Norepinephrine, Epinephrine, and Dopamine in the treatment of Neonatal Septic Shock: A Randomised Controlled Trial”
- PI: Dr. Shiv Sajan Saini
Essential Qualification
Postgraduate degree including the integrated PG degree in biotechnology, Microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, or human Genetics.
Desirable Qualification
Two-year experience in Proteomics or multiomics research. Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified for the National Research fellowship examination (CSIR-UGC NET, ICMR JRF, DBT-INSPIRE, PGI PhD program).
Age
35 Years (Relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per GOI rules)
Emoluments: As per ICMR guidelines (No other allowances will be paid.)

- Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are requested to submit hard copies of their application forms to the Neonatology office.
- The application form is available separately as a PDF document entitled ‘application format’.
- Hard copies must be accompanied by attachments containing your brief CV (with email ID and mobile number clearly mentioned), age proof, a recent passport-size photograph, qualification certificates, experience certificate, category certificate, and a No-objection certificate (NOC) from your current employer.
- The hard copies of the application, along with self-attested photocopies of certificates, must reach the address. Hard copies received after the due date & time will not be considered. No online applications will be accepted.
- Address: Neonatology office, Room No. 05, level-III, F-Block, Nehru Hospital, PGIMER, Chandigarh, on or before 2nd February 2026, up to 4 PM.
Selection Process
- The candidates will initially be shortlisted based on their qualifications and work experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview via email. Please mention your phone number and email clearly.
- If the number of candidates is greater, a written test may be held on 5th February 2026 at 9:30 AM in the APC auditorium complex, PGIMER.
- The tentative date and time of the interview are on 5th January 2026 at 4:00 PM. The final schedule and venue will be emailed to the shortlisted candidates.
- No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
