Job Details:
This research job involves working with the SOLi3D (Solid Tumour Organoid Laboratory for Investigating Disease Biology, Drug Response Testing and Drug Discovery) group. The role includes developing, maintaining, and characterizing tumour organoid cultures from patient samples and participating in collaborative translational cancer research projects.

Available Positions:
Research Assistant Level I/II:
- Educational Qualification: MSc/MTech in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Cell & Molecular Biology, Biochemistry.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 1 year
- Publication Requirement: None
- Retainership: INR 25,000-28,000 per month, consolidated.
Research Assistant Level IV/V:
- Educational Qualification: MSc/MTech in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Cell & Molecular Biology, Biochemistry; PhD candidates will not be considered
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 3 years
- Publication Requirement: 1 research article in a peer-reviewed journal as a co-author
- Retainership: INR 38,000-42,000 per month, consolidated.
Description of ‘Relevant Experience’:
- Essential:
- Extensive experience in mammalian cell culture techniques
- Familiarity with DNA, RNA, and protein extraction techniques, quality check, qRT-PCR, and Western Blot
- Familiarity with good laboratory practices
- Preferable:
- Experience with patient samples handling
- Experience with 3D (spheroid/organoid/organ-on-chip) cell culture models
- Experience in high throughput drug screening assays
- Experience in automated high throughput confocal imaging
- Experience in hydrogel bioprinting
- Experience in automated liquid handler/digital dispenser use
- Knowledge of LIMS (e.g., LabVantage) use for biobanking clinical samples
- Knowledge of advanced MS Excel, R programming, Image analysis software

- Flexibility of working hours as needed for research involving patient samples

Selection of Candidates:
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Based on their interview performance, the recruiting panel will select the successful candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining tumour organoid cultures
- Processing clinical samples

- Sample preparation for histology, NGS, and mass spectrometry
- Drug response testing and cell biology assays
- Data analysis, documentation, and presentation
- Preparation of scientific reports and manuscripts
Skills Required:
- Mammalian cell culture expertise
- Molecular biology techniques (qRT-PCR, Western blot)
- Knowledge of good laboratory practices
- Experience with 3D cell culture models (preferred)
- High-throughput screening and imaging (preferred)
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
