Position Details

  • Position: Project Technical Support III
  • Project Title: ICMR AMDRC Project.
  • Duration: 7 months.
  • Salary: ₹36,400 per month.

  • Location: Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities & Clinical Scope

The successful candidate will be a dedicated resource for the standardization and implementation of both traditional and molecular diagnostic methods.

  • Laboratory Diagnostics: Handling the routine culture and identification of fungi, along with specialized antifungal susceptibility testing.
  • Molecular Procedures: Executing basic PCR and other molecular tests to identify fungal pathogens.
  • Sample Management: Oversight of sample processing, long-term storage, and maintaining rigorous laboratory quality control (QC) records.
  • Clinical Coordination: Gathering clinical histories of patients and assisting the Principal Investigator in various research activities related to mycology.
  • Data & Communication: Responsible for precise data entry and maintaining regular correspondence with ICMR.

Eligibility & Experience Profile

This SJRI Job is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in laboratory sciences and regional communication skills.

  • Essential Qualification:
    • Three-year Graduate degree in a relevant field plus 3 years of post-qualification experience.
    • OR a Post Graduate (PG) degree in a relevant subject/field.
  • Preferred Discipline: Graduate degree in Life Sciences, with a strong preference for Microbiology.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English and at least one South Indian vernacular language is preferred for clinical detail collection.
