Available Positions and Project Details
Microbiome Mission: Project Associate-II (PAT-II)
- Position Code: 006
- Stipend: ₹35,000 + 20% HRA per month.
- Project Title: “Comprehensive analysis of niche-specific microbial dysbiosis in human diseases.”
- Essential Qualification: Master’s in any stream of Life Sciences with 2 years of R&D experience. Qualification with any national examination such as CSIR, ICMR, UGC, ICAR, LS, GATE.
- Desirable: Expertise in Bioinformatics analysis.
- Tenure: Up to March 31, 2028.
Cancer Research Program: Project Associate-I (PAT-I)
- Position Code: 007
- Stipend: ₹31,000 + 18% HRA per month.
- Project Title: “Pan CSIR Cancer Research Program – Focusing on Breast & Gynecological Cancers of Indian Relevancе.”
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Sciences with a valid NET (CSIR-UGC/ICMR/ICAR) or GATE score.
- Desirable: Hands-on experience in Molecular Biology techniques.
- Tenure: Up to March 31, 2026.
Deep Ocean Mission (MoES): Project Associate-I
- Position Codes: 008 & 010 (02 Positions)
- Stipend: ₹31,000 + 20% HRA per month.
- Project Title: “Discovery and development of novel drugs and pharmaceuticals.”
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Sciences with CSIRUGC/ICAR/ICMR NET incl. Lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE or a qualified equivalent National level examinations.

- Experience in Cell Culture & Molecular biology techniques.
- Code 010:
- Experience in mammalian tissue culture work
- Experience in cloning, expression, and purification of heterologous proteins in prokaryotic and eukaryotic hosts.

Non-Hormonal Contraception (BMGF): Project Associate-I
- Position Codes: 009 & 011 (02 Positions)
- Project Title: “Target Enabling Packages for Non-hormonal Contraception.”
- Essential Qualification: Master’s in Life Sciences or Biological Sciences.
- Stipend:
- ₹31,000 + HRA (For NET/GATE qualified candidates).
- ₹25,000 + HRA (For candidates without NET/GATE).
- Desirable Skills:
- Code 009: Molecular Biology techniques.
- Code 011: Protein purification, cloning, and expression in prokaryotic/ eukaryotic hosts.

- Mode of Selection: Personal Interview (Screening test may be conducted if the number of applicants is high).
General Eligibility & Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: 35 Years (as of the date of interview).
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women and 3 years for OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.
- Aggregate Tenure: The total tenure of a project staff member in CSIR laboratories shall not exceed 6 years in any case.
