Research Fellow at NIPER | Life Sciences | Apply Now
The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad, has announced a specialized Research fellow opening within its Department of Biological Sciences. This NIPER recruitment is for a high-impact ICMR-funded project focused on gastric cancer. Working under the guidance of Principal Investigator (PI) Dr. Santosh Kumar Guru, the successful candidate will investigate how chemotherapy alters the genetic and molecular makeup of stomach cancer cells to identify new therapeutic targets.
About the Institute
NIPER Hyderabad is an “Institute of National Importance” and a premier destination for pharmaceutical and biological research. For those seeking a Life Sciences job in academia, NIPER provides world-class core facilities, including advanced flow cytometry, NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing), and centralized animal houses, facilitating high-quality cancer research.
Project Details
The study focuses on Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy (NACT)—treatment given before the primary surgery. By comparing the molecular landscape of tumors before and after NACT, the team aims to understand drug resistance and discover “molecular signatures” that can predict patient outcomes.
