BRIC–National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR) is a leading autonomous research institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Located in New Delhi, NIPGR is dedicated to advanced research in plant genomics and molecular biology. The institute plays a vital role in national crop improvement programs. NIPGR hosts several DBT and DST-funded research projects. It provides state-of-the-art infrastructure for life science research. Qualification
- Candidates having Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Bioinformatics or a related field are eligible to apply.
- Candidates with an M.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics, with three years of research experience and a relevant research publication, can also apply, as mentioned in DST Office Memorandum number DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated June 26, 2023.
- Candidates with research experience in the area of computational biology, genome assembly and annotation, GWAS analysis, duly supported with relevant publications in SCI journals (at least one first-author research paper with more than three impact factors) will be preferred. Knowledge in Python and R and Linux operating system is desirable.
Emoluments
₹. 58000/- plus 27% HRA per month, as sanctioned in the project.
