Position Details
This post is to be filled up purely on a contractual basis for the “Regional Virus Research & Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL)” DHR/ICMR in the Department of Virology under the Department of Health Research, Government of India.
- Position: Research Assistant
- Number of Posts: 01 Post (Unreserved).
- Monthly Emoluments: ₹35,000 (Consolidated without any allowances).
- Age Limit: Upto 30 years (Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women applies as per Govt. of India rules).
- Tenure: Purely on a contract basis for an initial period ending March 31, 2026. Renewal depends on the funding agency’s sanction.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
This Research job requires specific technical expertise in clinical and biological sciences.
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. or M.Sc. in Virology, Microbiology, Parasitology, or Biotechnology from a recognized University or Institute.
- Desirable Experience: One year of laboratory experience in Virology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Parasitology, or Immunology.
- Selection Process: Selection will be conducted via a written test held at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
- Qualifying Marks: Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in the written test.
