Job Overview:
The Project Associate will work on a CUTIS Academy of Cutaneous Sciences–sponsored life science research project focusing on melanocyte isolation, culture, characterization, and purification for clinical transplantation applications.
- Project titled: “Development & Standardization of Protocols for Isolation, Culture, Characterization and Purification of Autologous Melanocytes for Transplantation in Indian Vitiligo Patients”
- Principal Investigator: Dr. Sudhir H Ranganath
- Remuneration: Rs. 35,000/- per month (consolidated)
Educational Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- M.Sc./M.Tech in Bioengineering / Biomedical Engineering / Biotechnology / Cell and Molecular Biology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Cell Therapy
- At least one year of cell culture experience is preferred.
- Good writing and oral scientific communication skills.
Desirable Credentials for Project Associate role:
- Melanocytes isolation, culture and purification/Mammalian cell culture /Immunocytochemistry/Magnetic-Activated Cell Sorting/Flow cytometry/Imaging/ELISA
- Maintaining laboratory notebooks, documentation, reporting, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Melanocyte isolation, culture, and purification
- Mammalian cell culture handling
- Immunocytochemistry experiments
- Magnetic-Activated Cell Sorting (MACS)
- Flow cytometry, imaging, and ELISA
