Job Details:
CSIR-CFTRI is seeking to engage a qualified candidate as Project Associate-I on a temporary contractual basis for the project entitled “PLA and PBAT-based Biodegradable Polymeric Films with enhanced mechanical and barrier properties” with project number MMP035202. The initial engagement period is up to 31-03-2026, with the possibility of extension to 31-03-2027, based on project needs or until the project’s end, whichever is earlier.

- Stipend & HRA:
- (a) ₹31,000/- plus HRA for candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, etc.)
- (b) ₹25,000/- plus HRA to others
Essential Qualification:
- B.Tech/M.Sc. in Food Science & Technology
- Job Requirements: To carry out the R&D work as assigned
Desirable Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with Diploma from CIPET or equivalent, with hands-on expertise in film extrusion process and working experience in Polymer Film Extrusion, Twin extruder. Master’s Degree in Material Science/ Polymer Science/Plastic technology or equivalent is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out R&D activities as assigned under the project
- Supporting polymer processing and film extrusion research
- Assisting in experimental analysis and documentation
Skills Required:
- Understanding of polymer science and material processing
- Knowledge of film extrusion techniques
- Research and analytical skills
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary research teams
