Position Details
- Position Title: Project Associate-I
- Number of Positions Available: 01
- Project Title: “Development of nanostructured MoS2 based SERS and FET biosensors for ultrasensitive detection of biomarkers for Cerebral Ischemia”
- Principal Investigators: Dr. Rehan Khan (Scientist-D) and Dr. Kiran Shankar Hazra (Scientist-E)
Essential Qualification
M.Sc./ M.Tech/ Master Degree in Biotechnology, Biosciences, Life Sciences, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
(A) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
(B) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
Desirable Experience
1 year’s experience in nanoscience and nanotechnology will be preferred.
Age Limit
Must not be over 50 years as on 12.01.2026, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.
Fellowship
Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (as applicable) per month OR Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA (as applicable) for those who do not have A and/or B of essential qualification.
Project Duration
Initially 6 months and may be extended based on the candidate’s performance and availability of funds.

General Terms and Conditions
- The position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST, provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented along with the self-attested photocopies of these documents at the time of interview.
