Position Details
- Position: Project Assistant
- Project Title: Investigating Molecular Mechanisms of Epigenetic Vulnerability in Breast Cancer.
- PI: Dr. Parijat Senapati
- Monthly Emolument: ₹27,000 + 16% HRA (for candidates meeting both essential and desirable criteria).
- Tenure: Initially for one year, extendable based on performance evaluation.
- Age Limit: Below 26 years as of February 06, 2026 (Age relaxation applies as per Govt. of India norms).
Eligibility & Research Scope
The project focuses on identifying molecular vulnerabilities in breast cancer, specifically targeting the PRMT5 and RBBP4 pathways.
- Essential Qualification: A Master’s Degree in any branch of Life Sciences with at least 70% marks and a consistently excellent academic track record.
- Theoretical Knowledge: Candidates must have a strong theoretical understanding of molecular biology and genetics.
- Desirable Skills: Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, cloning, western blotting, transfection, and immunostaining is highly preferred.
- Other Competencies: Strong scientific temperament, good interpersonal skills, and proficiency in image analysis.
