- Project Title: “Targeted editing of light and hormone signaling for generating novel alleles regulating agronomically beneficial traits in tomato.”

- Funding Agency: DBT, Govt. of India

- Fellowship: ₹20,000 + 8% HRA.
- Tenure: Temporary for six months or co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility & Desirable Skills
This Biotechnology Job is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in plant molecular biology and genetic engineering.
- Essential Qualification: B.Sc. in any Biological Sciences, Horticultural Science, or an equivalent degree.
- Desirable Education: M.Sc. in Botany, Life Science, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Horticultural Sciences with at least 60% marks.
- Technical Expertise: * Experience in the genetic transformation of Solanaceae plants (tomato or chilli).
- Proficiency in molecular cloning techniques related to CRISPR-Cas systems.
- Hands-on experience in Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation.
- Age Limit: Not more than 50 years as of the closing date.
