Job Overview
Upstream processing involves the early stages of biopharmaceutical manufacturing, primarily focusing on cell growth and protein expression within bioreactors. As a Production Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the sterility and efficiency of the fermentation process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fermentation Operations: Hands-on operation of Fermenters, nutrient dosing vessels, and media preparation tanks.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Execution of Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Steam-in-Place (SIP) protocols, along with equipment cleaning and general housekeeping.
- Calibration & Verification: Regular calibration of pH meters and standard weight verification of weighing balances to ensure data accuracy.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring raw material and product inventory in coordination with senior management.
- In-process Sampling: Conducting critical in-process product sampling to monitor growth curves and metabolic activity.
- Equipment Qualification: Executing equipment qualifications and requalification protocols to meet GMP standards.
