Job Overview
The QC Microbiology team is responsible for preventing microbial contamination during the production process. As an Executive, you will manage both the operational and analytical aspects of the microbiology lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Environmental Monitoring (EM): Conduct routine EM in aseptic processing areas and analyze data to detect any shifts in microbial load.
- Growth Promotion Testing (GPT): Perform GPT to ensure that every batch of culture media is capable of supporting microbial growth as per pharmacopoeial standards.
- Laboratory Operations: Handle media preparation, cleaning, and disinfectant preparation, along with the safe operation of autoclaves for sterilization.
- Equipment Calibration: Responsible for the periodic calibration of laboratory instruments to maintain data integrity.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, real-time records of all laboratory activities in accordance with GLP and regulatory standards.
- Remediation Projects: Participate in environmental restoration and remediation activities if any non-compliance or abnormal trends are observed.
Qualifications & Experience
To qualify for this executive job, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: M.Sc. in Microbiology.
- Experience: 2 to 7 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical QC Microbiology department.
