Job Overview:
The Medical Surveillance Specialist I role under Life Sciences Jobs involves monitoring and evaluating clinical laboratory data for subjects in clinical studies. The position requires regular interaction with investigator sites, sponsor-designated laboratories, and internal project teams to ensure accurate reporting, trend identification, and regulatory-compliant clinical trial execution.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, biochemistry, microbiology, or biotechnology.
- 2 to 6 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 2.5 years of medical surveillance experience (required).
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate laboratory results from central laboratories
- Analyze clinical laboratory data via eDC platforms
- Review results against protocol-specific reference ranges
- Identify clinically significant laboratory trends and shifts
- Communicate findings with investigator sites and project teams
- Serve as liaison between Medical Services, laboratories, and project teams
- Support project setup activities and attend team meetings
- Maintain updated laboratory and medical knowledge
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of clinical laboratory data analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
