Key Responsibilities
- Receive and verify patient samples along with Test Requisition Forms
- Check patient details, test codes, barcodes, and sample types
- Ensure accurate labeling and accessioning into the LIS
- Sort and route samples to respective laboratory departments
- Maintain sample integrity and proper storage conditions
- Track missing, incorrect, or delayed samples and escalate issues
- Enter patient and test data accurately into LIS systems
- Maintain daily logs for samples, discrepancies, and rejections
- Follow NABL and ISO guidelines for sample handling
- Adhere to biosafety and laboratory safety protocols
- Coordinate with phlebotomy, logistics, and laboratory teams
- Support audit readiness and documentation compliance
Qualifications
M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Life Sciences
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of diagnostic sample types and handling
- Proficiency in LIS operations and MS Office tools
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment
