Job Overview:
The Junior Scientific Officer will support routine and specialized laboratory testing operations while ensuring compliance with NABL and ISO standards. The role involves processing diagnostic samples, operating automated analyzers, maintaining QC/QA documentation, coordinating with senior scientific staff, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting of results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and advanced diagnostic laboratory tests as per SOPs
- Process samples and validate test results with accuracy
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment
- Ensure adherence to turnaround time (TAT) requirements
- Maintain NABL/ISO quality and safety compliance
- Conduct daily QC checks and support EQAS activities
- Coordinate with lab technologists and senior scientific officers
- Maintain LIS data entry, reports, and audit-ready documentation
Educational Requirements:
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in diagnostic laboratories preferred
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic laboratory techniques
- Hands-on experience with automated analyzers
- Familiarity with NABL and ISO quality standards
- Excellent documentation and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under time constraints
- Proficiency in LIS systems and MS Office tools
