Job Overview:
The Junior Scientific Officer role involves routine and advanced diagnostic testing, sample processing, analyzer operation, QC documentation, and adherence to NABL and ISO standards while supporting smooth laboratory operations and accurate test reporting.
- Experience Required: 1–3 Years
Educational Requirements:
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Life Sciences
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests as per SOPs
- Process samples and validate results with high accuracy
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers
- Ensure TAT adherence for assigned tests
- Maintain NABL and ISO compliance and lab safety protocols
- Perform daily QC checks and support EQAS activities
- Coordinate with lab technologists and senior scientific officers
- Maintain LIS data entry, audit-ready documentation, and logs
- Assist in inventory monitoring and reagent management
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic laboratory techniques
- Familiarity with NABL and ISO quality standards
- Hands-on experience with automated analyzers
- Proficiency in LIS and MS Office tools
- High attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Ability to work under time-bound laboratory environments
