1. Senior Project Associate (Senior – PAT)

• Project Code/ Title & Duration: GAP00655 – Evidence based research on Arecanut and Human Health
• Essential Qualification:
  • Masters/ Integrated Masters in Natural Sciences OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent AND THREE years of experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or S&T organizations and scientific activities and services. OR
  • Doctoral degree in Science/ Pharma from a recognized University or Equivalent with two years experience in a NGS wet lab
• Job description:
  • At least two years of experience in analysis of high throughput genomic data such as Next Generation Sequencing based data generated from Illumina and Oxford Nanopore Platforms
  • Good programming knowledge with proficiency in at least one language such as C, C++, R, Python, JS, or Perl, as demonstrated by publications or github profile or other code repositories.
  • Should be well versed with Linux/bash/command line interface, and have the ability to create and modify custom pipelines for data analysis

• Engagement Terms: Appointment is temporary, project-based, fund-dependent, and confers no right to permanent CSIR/CCMB employment. Total CSIR project tenure shall not exceed 5 years.
• Service Conditions: Fixed working hours (9:30 AM–6:00 PM), limited leave (1 day/month), no TA/DA, tax deduction at source, and strict confidentiality/IPR compliance.
• Termination & Disqualification: Engagement may be terminated with one month’s notice. False information, canvassing, or influence will lead to disqualification.
