Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Biotechnologist (Research Associate) with strong conceptual
foundations and practical exposure to pharmaceutical formulations. The ideal candidate
will possess a deep understanding of formulation science, ingredients, and drug delivery
systems (DDS), and will contribute meaningfully to innovative product development
initiatives.
Candidates with exceptional theoretical knowledge and a strong aptitude for DDS are
encouraged to apply—even if direct hands-on DDS experience is limited.
Key Requirements
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or
related disciplines
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in formulation development or allied areas
• Strong academic background with excellent grasp of core biotechnology concepts
• Preference for candidates from premier institutes (IITs, NITs, or equivalent)
Technical Expertise
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical formulation development
• In-depth understanding of active ingredients, excipients, and ingredient
interactions
• Solid conceptual knowledge of Drug Delivery Systems (DDS)
• Ability to contribute to DDS projects through theoretical understanding, even without
direct hands-on experience
• Good foundation in pharmaceutical chemistry, biopharmaceutics, and
pharmacokinetics
Core Competencies
• Excellent theoretical understanding of biotechnology and formulation science
• Ability to translate scientific concepts into practical formulation strategies
• Knowledge of formulation stability, compatibility studies, and quality
parameters
• Familiarity with multiple dosage forms (oral, parenteral, topical, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
• Support formulation development for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products
• Assist in ingredient selection and optimization using scientific and literature-based
rationale
• Contribute to drug delivery system design and development initiatives
• Conduct literature reviews and stay updated on emerging formulation technologies
• Maintain accurate documentation, experimental records, and technical reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, quality, and product
development
