Positions Available
1. Senior Project Associate (SPAT) – 01
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Agriculture Extension/ Agricultural Economics with Four years Research Experience
- Desirable Qualification: Working Experience in Medicinal & Aromatic Plants.
- Stipend: Rs. 42000/- +HRA As per the Funding Agency
- Age: Maximum Age 40 Years
2. Project Associate – I (PAT-I) – 01
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany/Agriculture/ Plant Science OR M.Sc. With NET-LS in Botany/ Agriculture / Plant Science
- Desirable Qualification: Work Experience of One Year in MAPs cultivation, processing, value addition and its popularization among the farmers/ industries.
- Stipend: Rs. 25000/- +HRA for Non-Net Qualified. OR Rs. 31000/- + HRA for NET-LS qualified. As per the Funding Agency
- Age: Maximum Age 35 Years
3. Project Associate – II (PAT-II) – 01
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany/ Agriculture / plant Science with Two Year’s Research Experience in MAPs cultivation, processing, value addition and its popularization among the farmers /industries. OR M.Sc. in Botany/ Agriculture / plant Science with Two Year’s Research Experience in MAPs cultivation, processing, value addition and its popularization among the farmers / industries.
- Stipend: Rs. 28000/- +HRA for Non-Net Qualified. OR Rs. 35000/- + HRA for NET-LS qualified. As per the Funding Agency
- Age: Maximum Age 35 Years
4. Project Associate – I (PAT-I) – 01
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Botany from a Recognized University
- Desirable Qualification: Work experience in the area of Molecular Biology (DNA, RNA isolation, cloning, and q-PCR) will be preferred.
- Stipend: Rs. 30000/- + HRA. As per the Funding Agency
- Age: Maximum Age 35 Years
5. JRF – 01
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Environmental Science/Microbiology (Net qualified candidate only)
- Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of pesticide residue analysis
- Stipend: 37000/- + HRA who are Selected through National Eligibility Test CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship
- Age: Maximum Age 28 Years
6. Project Associate – II (PAT-II) – 01
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany/Plant Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences with minimum two year’s research experience in a related field
- Desirable Qualification: Experience in plant molecular biology, plant tissue culture and plant metabolite quantification using HPLC/GC
- Stipend: Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for NET qualified candidates as per funding agency OR 28,000/- + HRA for non-NET candidates as per funding agency
- Age: Maximum Age 35 Years
7. Project Associate – I (PAT-I) – 01
- Essential Qualification: Master Degree in Microbiology /Industrial Microbiology /Microbial Technology
- Desirable Qualification: Research experience preferable in the area of Anti-microbial evaluation of plant drugs
- Stipend: Rs. 31000/- + HRA for candidates with CSIR-UGC NET or GATE OR Rs. 25000/+ HRA for non-CSIR-UGC NET or Non-GATE candidate (As per the Funding Agency)
- Age: Maximum Age 35 Years
Mode of Selection
Selection will be based on performance in the Walk-in-Interview. A written test may be conducted if the number of candidates is high.

- Reporting Time: 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM
- Venue: Administrative Block, CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow
Special Terms & Conditions for Post Sl. No. 12 under CSTUP Projects
- Only Indian citizens who are residents of Uttar Pradesh (DOMICILE) are eligible for Jr. Research Assistant in the research project funded by CSTUP (As per UPCST Guidelines)
- Jr. Research Assistant-ship may be awarded to holders of M.Sc. as detailed above.
- First class in Graduate and Post Graduate Examination.
- The Upper age limit for Jr. Research Assistant shall be 28 years as on 1st April of the year 2025 in which the application is made.
General Terms & Conditions
- Engagement will be initially for a period of one year, extendable based on project requirements and performance.
- The tenure of Project Staff shall be co-terminus with the project. Maximum tenure is five years.
- The position is temporary and does not confer any claim on regular positions in CSIR-CIMAP.
- Age relaxation is as per Government of India Rules.
- Fresh applications are required for a change of project.
- Accommodation may be provided; otherwise, HRA will be paid.
- Leave and dispensary facilities are as per rules, applicable only to the employee.
- Canteen facilities are available on payment.
- Experience is counted from the date of minimum qualification achievement.
- Final semester and result awaited candidates cannot appear.
- Candidates must bring all original documents, one set of photocopies, and one recent passport-size photograph.
- No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
- No online interview requests will be entertained.
- The number of positions may change.
- No interim enquiry will be entertained.
