Available Positions
Research Associate-I (One Post)
- Emoluments: ₹ 58,000/- plus 27% HRA per month
- Qualification: Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in any branch of Biological/ Life Sciences and fulfill the norm/guidelines of DST OM No: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26/03/2023. Candidates with a good publication record and prior experience in genetic transformation and gene editing in Brassica crops will be preferred.
Project Associate-I (One Post)
- Emoluments: ₹ 25,000/- plus 27% HRA per month
- Qualification: Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Plant Biology/ Botany/ Genetics/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Agriculture/ Life Sciences/ Bioinformatics with at least 55% (or equivalent) marks. The eligibility norms are issued vide DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020.

- Eligible candidates should appear for a walk-in interview with a duly filled application form, available in the prescribed format, along with self-attested copies of certificates, on January 09, 2026, from 09:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
- Latecomers after 10:30 a.m. will not be entertained.
- Bring original degree/experience certificates for verification.
- Applications must be complete and in the correct format; incomplete applications will be rejected.
- No TA/DA is provided for attending the interview.

General Conditions
- These positions are entirely temporary and co-terminate with the project.
- The fellowship amount is sanctioned per the project as per DBT/DST norms.
- Initial appointments are for one year or until project tenability, whichever is earlier, and can be curtailed or extended based on performance.
- NIPGR reserves the right to select candidates based on qualifications and experience.
- Appointments may be terminated with one month notice by either side.
