- Title of the Project/scheme: NCBS/BMGF: Environmental Surveillance and Early Warning System for Animal Pathogen Surveillance
- Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent and four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services OR Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / from a recognized University or equivalent
- Desirable Qualifications/Experience: Experience in cell culture, virus isolation, environmental sample collection, processing of samples for virus detection, gene/genome sequencing and analysis using bioinformatic tools, etc.

Support the activities: Collect samples (blood, serum, swab) from different livestock species from selected villages in Valsad, Bhavnagar, Panchmahal and Rajkot. Process the samples at field station.
