Project & Position Details
- Position: Research Associate-I (01 Position)
- Project Sponsored by: ANRF-sponsored JC Bose Grant
- Project Title: “Identification of novel genome stability factors and potential antifungal drug targets in WHO-listed priority fungal pathogens.”
- PI: Prof. Kaustuv Sanyal
- Location: Kolkata
- Emoluments: Rs. 58,000/- p.m. plus 30% HRA
- Upper Age limit: 35 years
Educational Requirements:
- Ph.D or equivalent MVSc/ME/M.Tech with 3 years of research/teaching/design & development experience
- Ph.D. degree with experience in Yeast genetics/molecular biology with at least one publication in a peer-reviewed journal as thefirst author.
- At least one SCI-indexed publication
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on genome stability factors in fungal pathogens
- Perform yeast genetics and molecular biology experiments
- Follow laboratory safety protocols while working with human pathogenic yeast
- Assist in project documentation, research design, and data analysis
Skills Required:
- Strong background in yeast genetics or molecular biology
- Experience in handling research organisms safely
- Proven publication record (first-author preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
