Project Details
The IAEA – 26803 Project is a longitudinal cohort study aimed at understanding the intersection of chronic inflammation (HIV) and nutritional iron balance. This research addresses a critical gap in public health nutrition by investigating how chronic inflammation affects iron absorption and loss. Position Details

Qualifications & Experience
SJRI is looking for candidates with a strong foundation in health sciences and a patient-centric approach:
- Preferred Qualifications: B.Sc or M.Sc in Biochemistry or Life Sciences.

Roles & Responsibilities
The selected Research Assistant will manage both clinical and laboratory workflows:
- Clinical Recruitment: Identifying eligible participants at hospital clinics and obtaining informed consent.

- Lab Support: Assisting with laboratory procedures related to iron isotope dilution; SJRI will provide specialized training for this.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate, timely, and organized study records and coordinating sample transport/storage.
- Ethics: Ensuring full compliance with study SOPs and ethical guidelines.
