Job Overview
The QC Microbiology job at TAPI involves a comprehensive range of analytical and environmental tasks. You will be responsible for ensuring that all microbial analyses—from water testing to product monographs—are performed with absolute accuracy and documented within the LIMS system. This role is critical for maintaining the safety and efficacy of API production through rigorous environmental monitoring and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing & Analysis: Perform environmental monitoring, water sampling, and product testing according to monographs and SOPs.
- LIMS Management: Accurately record and report all test results into the LIMS system in a timely manner.
- Lab Support: Prepare samples, media, and reagents using certified glassware and reference standards.
- Calibration: Responsible for the daily calibration and verification of laboratory instruments.
- Safety: Adhere to PPE requirements, participate in safety mock drills, and report any unsafe acts or near misses.
- Method Development: Actively participate in validation processes and the development of basic analytical methods.
Qualification Requirements & Skills

- Education: B.Sc / M.Sc in Microbiology.
- Experience Level: 3–6 Years.
- Compliance Standards: cGMP, GLP, GDP, and ALCOA++.
- Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of Microbial Limit Testing (MLT), Bacterial Endotoxin Testing (BET), and microbial analysis of water.
- Instrumentation: Proficiency in handling pH meters, analytical balances, Colony Counters, and Autoclaves.
- Documentation: Strong grasp of GxP and the ability to initiate investigations for deviations such as LIR, OOT, and OOS.
- Workplace Standards: Knowledge of 5S standards and the ability to maintain meticulous instrument logbooks.
