Job Overview
The core focus of this Quality Control Job is Environment Monitoring (EM). EM is the systematic process of sampling air, surfaces, and personnel within cleanrooms to ensure that sterile products (such as injectables) are manufactured in a contamination-free environment.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Skills
Successful candidates for this Microbiology Job will be responsible for the following:
- Air Monitoring: Using active air samplers and settle plates to detect airborne microbial contaminants.
- Surface & Personnel Monitoring: Conducting contact plate sampling and swab testing of workbenches, equipment, and operator gloves/gowns.
- Aseptic Techniques: Ensuring all operations comply with cGMP and stringent aseptic protocols.
- Lab Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of all microbiological analysis and performing trend analysis of EM data.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhering to standards set by USFDA, MHRA, and EU Annex 1 guidelines for sterile processing.
