Many quality associate roles are invaluable for implementing the right quality control systems and standards across processes and the physical environment.
Key Responsibilities
This specialized quality associate jobs role ensures shifts meet critical KPIs like WIP/Leakages/Zero red complaints and minimizes waste through continuous troubleshooting.
Potato Quality Management (Raw Material QC)
- Testing: Ensure the quality of potatoes issued for production is as per specifications. Conduct the COOK Test to check undesirable color, internal defects, and greening percentage.
- Decision Making: Decide whether a potato lot should be accepted or rejected.
- Inventory Control: Conduct Cook’s Test after every 15 days for potatoes in long-term storage.
Oil & In-Process Checks
- Frying Oil QC: Conduct 4 hourly checks on oil for FFA, OV, PV, foreign materials, taste, odor, and specific gravity. Decide the mix of fresh and blended oil to be used.
- Product Monitoring: Check the fried chips hourly for TPD parameters (PA, oil percentage, blisters, dark flakes, etc.).
- Process Checks: Conduct online checks to ensure Pepsico standards are followed for all quality associate jobs in the vicinity.
Compliance & Training
- Responsible for maintaining GMP, GHK GLP and internal / external audits (HACCP, AIB, Personal Hygiene, Process audit).
- Train and development of quality checkers.
Essential Qualifications
B.Tech (Food Tech) or M.Sc. Food tech.
