- Write programs for the interactions of biomolecules at the level of network dynamics for Mycobacterium tuberculosis
- Present results to the team and at a wider network level and work towards bringing it to some form of public dissemination
- Interacting with other researchers in the network structural biology, implementing algorithms, setting up and maintaining databases and web servers
- Small component of systems administration
Minimum Educational Qualification
M.Sc. / BS-MS / B.E. / B.Tech. / M.C.A. in Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Systems Biology / Computational Biology / Bioengineering / Biophysics / Mathematical Biology with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade.
Preference
- Candidates with programming skills in Python / MATLAB and experience of modelling signalling networks, cellular biophysics.
- Candidate must have taken a course in quantitative biology / biomathematics.
- Those awarded national research fellowship (CSIR-JRF/SRF, DBT-JRF/SRF, BINC, UGC-JRF or equivalent) and having published a primary research paper in a peer reviewed international journal will be preferred.
Tenure of the appointment
Initially for a period of one year extendable for further period subject to satisfactory
Consolidated emoluments per month
- Rs.25,000/- + 24% House Rent Allowance
- Rs.31,000/- + 24% House Rent Allowance with valid CSIR-NET GATE / DBT – JRF/ any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies OR equivalent scorecard.
Age
35 years Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and / or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for candidates having qualification and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.
