Minimum educational Qualification
Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or from a recognized University or equivalent.
Experience
2 years of relevant experience in R&D in academic Institutions.
Preference
Candidates with experience in plant molecular biology, recombinant DNA technology, cloning, plant transformation and tissue culture techniques and having published a primary research paper in a peer reviewed international journal will be preferred.
Job Requirements
The incumbent would have to design and construct binary vectors, CRISPR constructs, conduct photoperiod related experiments, carry out real time gene expression analysis, conduct transcriptome analysis, generate transgenic overexpression and knockout lines for phenotypic analysis, weekly presentation to the PI and teamwork.
Tenure of the appointment
Initially for a period of one year extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated emoluments per month
Rs. 33,000/- + 30% House Rent Allowance.
Age Limit
- Age as on last date of application: 35 years
- Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and / or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for candidates having qualification and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.
