Position Details
- Position: Project Associate (PAT-I)
- Location: CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, Karnataka
- Project Title: Development of a green chemistry method and pilot scale optimization of Arabinoxylan oligosaccharides (AXOS) production from pearl millet bran for their application in ameliorating diabetes-associated complications (GAP645).
Duration: Initially up to March 31, 2026, extendable to December 31, 2026, based on requirement or project duration.
Stipend & HRA
- 31,000/- + HRA (16%) for candidates who have qualified for NET/GATE or any other national-level exams.
- 25,000/- + HRA (16%) for others.
Essential Qualifications
M.Sc./MTech in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Life Sciences.
Job Requirements
Oligosaccharide preparation and characterization, scale-up studies, in vitro and in vivo studies, and functional food development.
Desirable Experience
Working experience in animal handling, carbohydrate characterization, and downstream processing.
Terms and Conditions
- Maximum age: 35 years as of 17-12-2025.
- Only candidates who have completed their qualifications/results declared are eligible.
- Shortlisting by a designated committee; no TA/DA for interviews.
- Methodologies for shortlisting may include percentage of marks, higher educational qualifications, desirable experience, etc.
- Relaxation in age limits for SC/ST/PwBD/Women (5 years) and OBC (3 years).
- Engagement is temporary, co-terminus with project tenure or 6 years, whichever is earlier.
- No right/claim for permanent employment in CSIR-CFTRI/CSIR.
- Engagement depends on fund availability, performance, and institute’s requirement.
- Other terms as per guidelines issued by CSIR/funding agency.
- No application from candidates already completing 6 years as Project Staff in CSIR Labs.
