Job Overview:
The Spec, PV role is part of Baxter’s Safety Operations team within Global Patient Safety. The position focuses on individual case safety report processing, adverse event evaluation, quality control, and regulatory reporting to ensure accurate and timely pharmacovigilance operations.
Educational Requirements:
- Degree in Life Sciences, or equivalent
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry (Regulatory or Safety) preferred
- 2-3 years of hospital, patient care or equivalent experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Process adverse event reports from multiple sources
- Perform data entry, seriousness assessment, and causality evaluation
- Write clear medical narratives for individual case safety reports
- Code medical terms using MedDRA and other standard dictionaries
- Ensure correct suspect drug selection in safety databases
- Perform case follow-ups, quality checks, and case clean-up activities
- Support preparation of aggregate safety reports
Skills Required:
- Strong medical and clinical knowledge
- Experience or interest in Pharmacovigilance Jobs and patient safety
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet strict timelines and manage changing priorities
