Project Details:
- SERB-SPR Multi-Institutional project: “Combining constitutive and acquired tolerance traits for water productive rice: An AI/ML model-based precision breeding”.
- SERB-CRG project: “Investigating the role of Mitogen-activated protein kinase in regulating photosynthesis in rice”.

Qualifications
Candidates must have
a doctoral degree in any branch of Biological/Life Sciences or equivalent from a recognized university. Eligibility is determined as per DST-OM number: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26/06/2023. Preference will be given to candidates with a good publication record and experience in genetic transformation, gene editing in rice crops, protein-protein interactions, and kinase assays.Emoluments
₹ 58,000/- plus HRA per month and as sanctioned in the project.
Additional Information
The positions are temporary and co-terminus with the project, with initial appointments for one year or until the project’s end, subject to performance assessment and discretion of the Competent Authority. The selection process will adhere to Govt. of India reservation norms. Termination requires a one-month notice period from either side. Application in regular NIPGR positions is not implied.
