Job Overview:
The Junior Team Member – Microbiology will execute microbiological analysis of allocated samples, perform documentation, support timely sample release, and ensure compliance with defined microbiological quality parameters. Responsibilities include testing, reviewing data, preparing reports, reporting errors, conducting investigations, maintaining instruments, and adhering to cGMP, GDP, and GLP standards.
Educational Requirements:
- MSc (Microbiology) – mandatory
- 1–5 years’ experience for analysts
- 3–7 years’ experience for reviewers
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and review samples as per service level agreements
- Document raw data and findings in test sheets accurately
- Review reports according to cGMP, GDP, and GLP compliance
- Initiate investigations and implement CAPA
- Report errors, non-compliances, and abnormalities
- Maintain equipment, instruments, and ensure functionality
- Support timely batch and sample releases
- Conduct sterility, MLT, water testing, bio-load testing, EM, and environmental monitoring
- Coordinate with QA/QC, stores, CQA, and other units
Skills Required:
- Strong microbiology technical knowledge
- Ability to perform assigned lab tasks independently
- Understanding of SOPs, cGMP, GDP, and GLP
- Documentation accuracy and analytical skills
- Communication skills for cross-functional coordination
