Job Overview:
The Process Engineer will oversee batch material requisition, documentation, manufacturing efficiency, and compliance processes in a sterile production setup. This life sciences job demands strong attention to detail, GMP adherence, and expertise in sterile filling and packaging lines. The role also involves SAP entries, manpower handling, machine output monitoring, and coordination across manufacturing teams.
Educational Requirements:
- B.Tech / B.Sc / M.Sc
- 2–8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of:
- Cleanroom operations
- GMP and sterile area practices
- Documentation & BMR processes
- SAP systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise material requisition and manage materials received from stores
- Prepare daily reports, formats, and BMRs
- Ensure online BMR entries as per SOPs
- Develop SOPs for vial and cartridge processing; train line operators
- Improve line yield and reduce production rejections
- Prepare samples based on customer requirements
- Complete SAP entries for production activities
- Ensure batch pallets are transferred to correct areas for ETO/FG
- Drive machine output per defined speeds
- Manage manpower and shifts efficiently
- Maintain cleanroom gowning and sterility protocols
- Attach NVPC records with BMR and submit to QA
- Support IMSU/EHS implementation
Skills Required:
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of raw materials, packing materials, and sterile packing
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP
- Data interpretation and documentation accuracy
- Team coordination and manpower handling
