Job Overview:
This JRF role involves working on a translational research project titled “DNA damage repair and cancer.” The selected candidate will assist in experimental work, perform cell culture, support laboratory operations, and contribute to ongoing cancer biology research activities in the laboratory.
Position Overview
- Position: Junior Research Fellow
- No. of Posts: 01
- Department: Translational Research Laboratory
- Area: DNA damage repair and cancer research
- Stipend: Rs. 30,000/- per month
- Duration: 6 months (extendable based on performance)
- Educational Requirements:
- M.Sc. Biotechnology (Mandatory)
- Essential Experience:
- Minimum 6 months post-M.Sc. experience in cell culture
- Training, observership, and internships are not considered valid experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in research on DNA damage repair and cancer
- Perform mammalian cell culture and related techniques
- Maintain laboratory documentation and experimental records
- Support translational research workflows
- Work under the supervision of the Project Investigator
- Participate in project progress evaluations
- Ensure adherence to laboratory safety and good research practices
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of cell culture techniques
- Basic knowledge of cancer biology
- Ability to work in a research-driven environment
- Good analytical and observation skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
