Job Details:
The JRF will work on a DST-funded project titled “Validation and techno-economic assessment of green energy powered CO₂ to high-value chemical synthesis by integrated biobased and electrolyser technologies.” The role involves experimental design, optimization, analytical workflows, and work with CO₂ utilization technologies.
- Project title: Validation and techno-economic assessment of green energy powered CO₂ to high-value chemical synthesis by integrated biobased and electrolyser technologies
- PI: Dr. Sunil A. Patil, Associate Professor, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences
- Emoluments: INR 37,000 plus HRA as per DST project norms
- Duration: Initially for 1 year, with the possibility of extension to another year, subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of funds. The notice period for termination is one month.
Educational Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree in Biotechnology or Microbiology
- Candidates with degrees in Bioscience & Bioengineering or Chemical Engineering may also apply
- Must have qualified CSIR/UGC NET, GATE, or equivalent national exam
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on CO₂ utilization biotechnologies
- Work with microbial electrosynthesis and gas fermentation systems
- Perform anaerobic microbiology experiments
- Handle analytical techniques such as CV, CA, HPLC, GC
- Assist in reactor design and optimization
